Ammtec Limited, offer bankable ion exchange resin piloting as part of the comprehensive Purity Systems Inc. client support services.

Piloting is required for the following reasons:

• Technically prove the ion exchange resin for the particular client application
  
• Provide data to enable commercial plant design & cost
  
• Provide data to enable firm commercial resin inventory calculations
  
• Provide data for commercial plant reagent use and operating costs
  
• Provide product samples for analysis and marketing, or downstream processing
  
• Provide detailed data to enable process economics and payback calculations
  
• Provide client staff with technology training
  
• Provide a bankable report to assist the client with project funding

Piloting is only undertaken after an exhaustive investigation into the suitability of the Purity Systems Inc. resin range to the client application and the likely project economic outcomes.

Piloting may be conducted, worldwide, at the client site or, alternatively, at the Perth , Western Australia , laboratory facilities of Ammtec Limited.

In consultation with the client piloting will be done using pilot plant equipment assessed as having the best commercial project economics, for example carrousel, fixed bed columns or other commercially proven technology, and in all cases will be acceptable for design purposes for the commercial equipment suppliers. In almost all instances a representative of the commercial equipment supplier will be in attendance during piloting.

Where it has been assessed that up-front liquor treatment offers a real commercial gain, for instance by integrating a membrane concentration circuit, then an integrated pilot run will be used with a representative of the membrane supplier in attendance during piloting.

Where the client has requested that Ammtec Limited assist with the downstream metals recovery and it has been determined that a particular process offers real economic gain, for instance direct EW such as that offered by Electrometals Technologies Limited, then this technology can be piloted as an integrated unit with the up-stream circuit components if required by the client.

At the conclusion of piloting Ammtec Limited will issue a comprehensive bankable report and this report can be used to assist with project funding with almost all major financial institutions worldwide. The bankable report will include capital and operating costs as provided by third party equipment suppliers.
