PRIMARY APPLICATION: Recovery of copper from acidic, ferric iron bearing liquors


CuSELECT® will selectively recover copper from liquor streams containing ferric iron and other diluents at pH < 3. This means the resin is suitable for IX elution product purification from primary and bleed streams commonly found in copper processing plants. CuSELECT® has been used to recover copper from tailings liquor, SX bleed streams, and refinery waste streams.

SECONDARY APPLICATION: Chromium and Cobalt recovery from acidic streams



KEY PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Selective for copper over ferric iron at pH < 3.0
  • Rejection of Na, K, Ca & Mg @ pH <8
  • Long resin life span with <10% loss in loading capacity after 10,000 cycles
  • Zero swell or shrink on contact with liquids
  • May be eluted with H2SO4, HNO3, HCL & NH3
  • Process temperatures of up to 110 C may be used
  • Nominal pH operating range 1 to 3
  • Shipped with <10% moisture
  • Not suitable for use with HF & NaOH > 1M
